The Abbott IBD Scholarship Program
A recent survey conducted by the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC) found 69 per cent of people who had IBD when they were young were delayed in completing their post-secondary education due to their disease. You can help your young patients during this stressful time in their lives by suggesting they apply for the Abbott IBD Scholarship Program.
The Abbott IBD Scholarship Program awards students who are living well with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), and who sustain an optimal level of wellness allowing them to excel at their personal and academic goals and inspire those around them to do the same in the face of their challenges.
Students living with IBD can apply now for one of seven one-time scholarships of $5,000 CAN. The application deadline is June 30, 2012.
