Our Board members are a passionate, committed group of individuals who have all been personally touched by the 3Cs.

Michele Hepburn, BHSc (H), President

Michele dedicates her skills and resources on a full-time basis to supporting the 3C (Crohn's, Colitis, Colorectal cancer) community. Both her professional and personal experience with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) contributes to her comprehensive and compassionate approach to supporting children, youth and adults touched by the 3C's. Michele continues to futher her expertise/education in the area of IBD by attending CME accredited international conferences along with leading world GI clinical and research experts. She has lectured for professionals at the CSGNA annual national conference and she sits on a Crohn's disease patient advisory board. Michele facilitates the "IBDealing With It!" self-management program and has obtained her Master level training for Stanford University's CDSMP. She is passionate about making a positive impact on the 3C community and has been actively involved in education, support and public awareness for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) since 2002. Michele is a founding board member of The 3C Foundation of Canada.

Linda von Arx, Secretary

Linda is legal counsel at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. She brings experience in corporate governance, not-for-profit, charity, and general corporate/commercial law. Linda joined the board in May 2010.

David Benn, Treasurer

David is co-owner and Vice President-Treasurer of Davey & Benn Inc, Insurance Brokers. He has volunteered for multiple community organizations throughout his career and strongly believes in giving back to the community, especially to the worthy cause of the 3C Foundation of Canada. David joined the board of directors in November 2008.

Steven P. Deveau

Born and raised in the Ottawa region, Steven has been a community volunteer throughout his career. He is one of the original board members and currently holds the position of Secretary with the 3C Foundation of Canada. Steven studied Architectural Technology followed by Business Administration at Algonquin College.

Jim Facette

Jim is one of the original board members of the 3C Foundation and the immediate past-president. He is a native of Ottawa and has extensive experience working with boards of directors, both as director and in a staff function.

Frank Napolitano

Frank is a Managing Agent/Managing Partner with Mortgage Brokers Ottawa. He has worked for one of the major Canadian banks for over 20 years including the last 8 years as a mortgage specialist. Frank is the newest member of our team, joining our board in June 2009 with a fresh passion and commitment to making a positive difference in the 3C community.

Rachel Walsh

Rachel is President CSGNA, Ottawa Chapter and is the IBD nurse specialist at the Montfort Hospital. She currently holds the position of Medical/Professional Advisory Board Liaison for the 3C Foundation of Canada.
