This study examined the effects of collaboration and gender on student persuasive writing. A convenience sample of 64 tenth-grade English students participated in the study (male n = 28, female n = 36). In a Latin Square design, all students participated in both the comparison (noncollaboration) and intervention (collaboration) conditions. A two-way mixed analysis of variance was used to evaluate the differences in student incorporation of multiple viewpoints by gender and intervention. The main effect of the intervention was not significant, FThis study examined the effects of collaboration and gender on student persuasive writing.
